Usually we just get a six pack of Kokanae to go with the cigars, but for 2006 the plane trip got weathered in so we had to step up the "fun" factor a bit...the cigar was very good.

Noticed there is a significant undertone there against Creationism...not that it surprised me too much, but they speak of "an era in which we tremble at offending the sensibilities of our neighbors, students must comprehend that it is not only possible but absolutely vital that we criticize each other's ideas firmly yet civilly. Anyone that knows me knows I grok debating anything, but when it comes to "faith" whether it be in Science, Seance, or Christ...it is a personal choice. This is a choice that transcends what the age of this rock or the long lost descendant of this animal, or even what is healthy to eat. Debate love, abortion, sexuality, or whatever. No matter what the "evidence", "facts", or "theory" ends up being...the truth ends up being what action is taken. You either understand love by having been blessed with experiencing it or not, abortion either kills or saves, sexuality is either acted on or not. There is no science to these matters other than to take the "humanity" out of the action. To act is human, to theorize is humane. All that said to say, determining whether or not we can find a cure to save loved ones does not depend on the faith of the patient...only the faith of the cure.

Go forth and science all Creation!

Science needs to stick to making my mountain bike lighter/stronger, replacing my joints when I break them or wear them out, and allowing the internet to remain open to this type of dialogue.
